Yes. The question bank follows the current CSLB C-36 topic outline, including planning, rough systems, finish plumbing, service and repair, and safety.
The official CSLB C-36 trade outline has five weighted areas: Planning and Estimating (22%), Underground and Rough Systems (22%), Finish Plumbing Installations (20%), Service, Repair, and Remodel (19%), and Safety (17%). Our practice is organized around those areas.
Qualifying individuals generally need to pass Law & Business as well as the C-36 trade exam, unless an examination waiver applies. Check the applicable requirements with CSLB.
CSLB does not publish a public question count or a numeric passing score for the C-36 exam; you are told the passing percentage at the test site. CSLB does allow 3-1/2 hours to complete each examination, and the exam is closed-book.
The official C-36 exam is taken in person at a PSI test center. Test2Pro provides online exam prep and is not affiliated with CSLB.
