A C-7 contractor installs, services, and maintains communication and low-voltage systems that are energy limited and do not exceed 91 volts, including telephone, sound, cable TV, CCTV, satellite dish antennas, instrumentation and temperature controls, and low-voltage landscape lighting. Low-voltage fire alarm systems are specifically excluded and, per CSLB guidance, require a C-10 Electrical license.
